Pattern Series

The created print series uses images from family double knit patterns transferred into digital photographs and serigraph prints. This new body of work explores the narratives of the nuclear family, false memories from childhood, and issues of identity. As a photographer and printmaker, I am interested in the use of the camera and printed images as a way of surveillance and documentation of actual events. This relationship to the subjects identity and the original environment become removed or masked as a means to create a false memory for the viewer to form connections. Final image size is 5 inches x 5 inches.
